I am 33, I have been heavy all my life. I started to train 7 years ago, while I have made a fair amount of progress I still have a lot of bodyfat I seem to never loose. I enjoy working out as a means of stress relief as well as for the health benefits. I have wife and soon a little one at home as well as 7 chihuahuas and a weiner dog.
I started in 94 able to press less then 95 lbs. Now I am over 225. I can run(which I never did as a child). My best exercise are shrugs(365), deadlifts(315). I really want to loose 60 lbs and get leaner. UPDATE!!!!! Shrugs 445x 10 reps, deadlifts 335. Bench 250x 6 reps! UPDATE!!!! Past few months have seen new PR Shrugs-535x3 Deadlift (7-9-03) 375x3 and 405x1!!!!!! NEW PR for Deadlifts was 425x1 a few weeks ago...back in july! New update: IN dec of 05 I hit 325 for bench 455 for squat and 475 for deadlift. I am planning to have a Lapband procedure in late summer early fall. Wow update time as of sept 8 2006 I will undergo gstric bypass surgery. IT is OCT 2 2006. Almost a month since i had the surgery. I have lost 42lbs so far. I feel great and will update as needed.
