   Personal Information:

At 45 decided to get into shape again.

Health & Fitness Goals - Achievements:

Started training in Sept 2001 and presently training 5 times per week. Since starting out, I have developed a love for the lifestyle of optimum health and good nutritional habits. I have decided to become an ISSA certified personal fitness trainer and pass on the knowledge by working with youth and adults who are looking to be at their best of health. I'm into my 9th year now of training, and never felt as good as I do now. More stamina, more strength, and more confident.

Isn't a 2596 calorie diet pretty high for someone who needs to lose 50 pounds?

Carivan, I was wondering if you could help me with a overhaul. I'm 28 in my first semester of college to be a social worker. cash is tight so i cant afford a trainer at my gym. I workout off and on but dont really know what im doing. I have a few staple exercises but thats it. If I stop working out for a few days I look like i've done nothing. I have a goal and its to be inshape. I'm a bigger guy. wide shouldered, broad back. I'm 210 lbs and bout 5'9 and a half. My biggest problems are eating and a workout routine. I enjoy working out (great stress relief and good for self esteem) but its been hard to keep it going with midterms. I'm lost and really looking to have a routine and a sense of direction. If you would like to send an email to me directly my email address is dumont21@hotmail.com thanks for your time in reading this.

Hi Carivan, I have a constructive suggestion to improve FREE TRAINER's printable daily workout sheets....Add a small picture, or 'stick-figure' drawing next to the name of the exercise. I think this would definately help beginners like me who many times have difficulty remembering exactly what the exercise IS by just the name of it. I draw these 'stick-figures' myself, and usually add a note such as, "overhand grip, or "pause 2-seconds", etc.

Just a suggestion.

Carivan, i had an accident at work which gave me bruising on both fore arms bashed knuckles and wrist, which resulted in swelling and stiffness, doc strapped up and told me to rest for two to three weeks. what do i do about my home training, can't do much with arms, chest etc, can still do crunches, squats and calf raises.
