Beta-Alanine the new Creatine

Havent seen much discussion on this supplement but recent research indicates that it may be as or even more effective than creatine. It helps considerably with conditioning and volume based workouts. I have seen great personal increases by taking this supplement for just a week which is amazing. Considering that I have had recent streak of injuries.

It seems like the real deal; the research shows alot of promise for this product, and the science behind it makes sense. For great research on it, check out the several research projects by both R Harris and J Stout.

I have been taking it for about 2 months. Basically, it is awesome. My training and ability to recover have been phenomenal.

Bumping this up as a reminder. Very good supplement. Bulknutrition had a deal on the kilo of the powder...not sure if they still have it at 32.99 but I have seen it at 37.99 which is still very cheap relative to other places.

I take 5-10 g a day split in two dosages morning and night. Helps quite a bit with muscular recovery.

As part of my pre-proposal for my thesis, I did a lit review for beta-alanine. Alot of scientific blah blah, but all of the relevant research is cited if you're interested in the product:

I am going to get with this as the better my recover the better my back issues resolve!

Once I started on BCAA's and my recover had taken a GIANT LEEP my back issues start lessening by keeping my more flexible and after constant Googling and reading from those that have tried it I see this as an opportunity to even more so minimize my back issues.

Some may call BS on this on injuries but I say and feel the more flexible you remain the less bothersome you are and it's a must must to be flexible with injuries suck as a bulging disk in the lumbar such as I have.

Bottom line is this looks like the real deal and I'm just stating 1 reason for the use of recovery supplements.

I'll be getting my in bulk powder from True Protein as I hear it's tasteless and will last a long time with a 100g purchase for only $7.99.

Thats the 1Fast400 brand and the reason for the price cut is shelf life.

I read that the shelf life is 3 years on the stuff and the 1Fast400 brand being sold out there is on it's last legs.

I didn't save the link but it makes sense to me and this is why I love TP and rather get it there, they would do shit like that to us!

Ok guys as I stated I started on BCAA's for recovery and love it as I have been taking 10g pre, 15g during and 10g post but now with Beta-A in the mix do you think I should cut the BCAA's back a tad to a pre 5g BCAA's / 2g Beta-A, 10g BCAA's / 1g Beta-A during and 5g BCAA's / 2g Beta-A post?

Been over 10 week and I have to say Beta A is the REAL THING!

I'm pushing heavier and getting them last few reps out better.

I'm going to start back on CEE with the Beta A as CEE had done wonders for me before!

I know, I know, your going to shout out Mono but CEE worked good for me so I'll stick with it!

Beta Alanine alone is working nicely but ad some Creatine with it and it going to be even better!:surprised:

Allot has changed for me since I last posted on this thread.

I'm a fan of mono now and will only use mono over CEE.

I have found BCAA's to be a waste unless your not feeding yourself correct or on a real low diet, I wasn't feeding enough and now I am BCAA's is a waste.

I still take Beta at 2g 3x per day everyday and 5g mono everyday even on a rest week.

Funny how we shout and praise something one day then the next we look at it in a different view so this is why I came back to this thread as I would like to know what you all think of Beta Alanine today.

BA works great for anaerobic conditioning...and high rep/endurance strength training

BCAAs are indeed a waste of money unless your diet is perfect, and you tae huge amounts of this supp, spaced perfectly throughout the day...which would border on OCD....forget the S/C coach who advocated like 40 pills of this sht throughtout the day...
