I just would like to know everybody's opinion on what they think is the one overall best protein powder he/she ever used. Overall meaning taste,results,composition,price,...etc.. My favorite of the ones I have tried is ON's Chocolate Mint...good amount of protein 23g per scoop, great taste, and it is dirt cheap in the land of protein powder. What do you guys/girls think?

depends what I'm using it for. I like Nectar's line of whey isolate protein powders, good flavors, decent price, and good results. For any other time than PWO I like muscle milk or ON"s Casein protein.

I always wanted to try Nectar, but I couldnt justify it to myself with the cost vs. ON's cost...

why how much are they charging for a tub of nectar? To me it is worth those extra few dollars, it tastes that good.

If I go to Vitammin shoppe....they are usually running b/t 29.99-34.95 ...which is the same price as the tub of ON ...but the ON Whey is a 5 pound tub which has a little more than double the servings as the Nectar

your right, it is a more expensive that the ON, but is the ON a whey isolate? Take a look at the ingrediants and see what kind of why it has in it. Nectar has 0g. of fat and carbs, it's basically pure protein(an isolate) which is the quickest absorbing. I pay the extra for that and because I haven't tasted a better powder besides maybe isopure's powders but that is a little more expensive than nectar. If your on a budget than nectar prob. isn't the way to go maybe once and a while but not as a regular buy.

I just went to the local supplement shop and paid 30.00 for a tub of crystal bay nectar, based on a lot of people's reccomendations.....although I do have to admit that I am bothered by the apparent lack of amino's...

Throw some glutamine in with your shake. I usually put about 8-10g. in with mine. Have you tasted it yet? I think you'll be happy with your choice

I just took my crystal bay Nectar...not bad I must say! Great taste...A+ , but it does get a B- for mixability...the spoon is a little rough, so I had to bust out the shaker. And even after that you still had a little floaties here and there, but at least the floaties tasted good! But, I also must gripe about the papa smurf tongue I got afterwards....but overall its a good product...I'm sorta lookin forward to possibly tryin other flavors.

I've never had the iced tea, but my top two are fuzzy navel and apple ecstacy. I use a shaker with any kind of powder iuse, so i would suggest that. glad to hear the taste was good for you.

I like the Muscle Milk light, it tastes good, I think the big tubs are... $40? Something like that. Sure you can get a deal if you buy more and buy online. GL henry-------------- Sean "TBAR" Johnson -USAF- |
