It was just Cindy and I today. More alarm issues--I woke up late but this was a quick workout.
Front Squat: 8x75,8x75,8x75
Superset w/
Wide-grip cable seated row: 8x100,8x100,8x100
Supine Hip Extension with leg curl
3 sets x 8 ea. superset with
Barbell push press:
8x60,8x60,8x60
Dynamic lunge: 8x60,8x60,8x60 (probably should have gone up on these but I was having enough trouble getting the barbell back off my shoulders and over my head with this weight...scraped the top of my head a couple of times).
superset with
Upper-body Russian twist: 3 sets, 8x10
It was Cindy's idea to add weight...it hadn't even occurred to me...duh! I like it.
I got a little stretching in then attempted to determine my VO2 Max. I am entering a challenge that requires my starting max, and 1RM for BB, DL & squat. Instructions were to run on the treadmill starting between 7.5 and 8.5 mph at 0 elevation, then each minute bump up the elevation until I can't run anymore. I knew this would be a challenge as my highest 1 min. interval during HIIT is 6.7 mph. So, yeah, I lasted 5 sec. after the first incline increase. So, yeah. Still no hot water...I took a cold shower. But with temps over 100 outside the water wasn't exactly ice cold...it was actually kind of refreshing.
