april 10: day 1/ week one of fresh start!
Just got back from the gym and had a pretty good workout. I'm still keeping things pretty light until I'm sure I won't do myself damage. Because of the holiday, i don't have swimming or pilates, so I figured it was a good day to get in a wt workout. here's what went down at the gym...
5 min treadmill (included a 2 min run-back felt fine)
3X10 full pushups (these were tough after not doing any for so long)
seated cable row 10X50lb/10X60lb/8X70lb (felt good)
BB squats 10X45lb(bar)/ 10X65lb/ 10X65lb (back felt fine, but feeling it a bit in my hip flexor which is extremely tight)
BB press 3 sets 10X45 (bar only) going to be careful with these because I tend tighten my back muscles with these)-but they felt fine today!
3 sets 10 back extentions on back ext thingy. felt fine
SLDL's with bodybar 3 sets 10(way too light, but just wanted to go thru the full range of motion with my back. felt fine.)
Finished with some golf related moves using the body bar-gotta get ready for the season. finally had a chance to swing my new clubs this weekend-all be it indoors-it was SWEET!-and no back problems!!
All in all a pretty good workout.
On a bit of a down note,my neck muscles were killing me over the weekend. It's a bit better today, so I'm hoping it'll just work it's way thru. What is with my body these days???
