Wow--I was missed at the gym! My first day back since Monday, when I left without working out. Several people asked how I was feeling--apparently they were asking my partner about me while I was gone. *Sniff*...I have friends! Morning crowd sure are a lot friendlier than the afternoon crowd (older, too).
Squats, 1 warm up set of 10 with bar
2 sets 15x95 -- Still not sure about the tempo thing...if my normal is "Normal". Also, my rest between was more like 80-90 secs. since I had no choice but to wait for my partner to complete her set.
Static lunge superset with 2 pt. dumbbell row w/elbow out:
2 sets 15 (each leg/arm), 25's for the lunges, bumped up to 30 for the rows. I was huffing and puffing after 15, but I'm still thinking 35's next time, maybe.
Push-ups superset with swiss ball crunches:
2 sets, 15 reps each set of push-ups--slight improvement since last time I went girlie at 11 and 9, this time I went girlie at 12 and 8. So, hey! My partner knocked out her first 15 like a man and I was impressed. Then she told me she wasn't going down all the way like I was (showed me how shallow she was going, although her boobs are much bigger so not sure how low she can go with those!). She thought with time she'd be able to go deeper. I'm thinking she's better off doing the girlie pushups with perfect form--get used to the perfect form and get stronger from there. She listened to me for the second set. Am I right?
2 sets, 20 each set of crunches with 8 lb. ball.
Finished with nearly 20 minutes to spare so did some stretching, a few yoga moves, thought I'd spend a few minutes in savasana but I almost fell asleep.
I did have a preworkout yogurt-protein-berry shake. Will be having my oatmeal pretty soon. I have no idea what I'll be eating the rest of the day since I didn't pack anything...probably fish from the cafeteria since it is Friday. Going away for the weekend with friends and I know that will mean wine but that's all I know.
Have a great weekend!
