Back to the gym...YAY...I think.....
Now that I look back on what happened last week I now see that things had been brewing between between my husband and I for a few months now and we were getting more and more distant from each other. Things finally came to a head last week, but we worked it thru (not in a very adult fashion I must say-hubby's not a great communicator) but we've come out the other side and our relationship is much improved..thank heavens! I feel like a huge wt has been lifted, but I'm still pretty tired from all the stress!!
Things seem to be settling back into a normal routine. My hubby is quite motivated to loose some weight, so that's helping me stay motivated.
So today I went back to the gym..first time in over 4 weeks and boy did I feel it. During my absense the gym has changed ownership and the physical therapist I had on speed dial there, now has to find a new location. The gym has a whole different feel to it now, but C'est la vie, I just go there to workout, not socialize.
Here's what went down (kept things pretty light, but I felt every move)
3 min walk on treadmill to warmup
3 sets: SS walking lunges and body squats
3 sets: seated cable rows, 12X60/60/60lb
3 sets: lat PD, 712X0/70/70lb
3 sets: SLDL's, 12X45/65/65lb
3 sets: EZ bar curls 10X30/30/30lb
3 sets: dbl inner rotations for shoulder, 12X3/3/3lbs
little bit of ab work, then stretch to cool down.
I felt this. Can tell I haven't been to the gym in a while. Hopefully I'll feel stronger next week, cause I felt like a wimp today!
