Cramps and variety

I looked at wet suits. The folks in the dive store said they weren't really suitable for swimming.
We will move to plan B. I'll swim as long as I can stand it but then we will get a canoe to augment the treadmill. We basically spend half our time on the boat and half at home 60 miles away.
At home, I use the treadmill. On the boat I'll paddle the canoe all winter until the water gets tolerable for swimming in April most likely. I figure I'll swim until mid or late October.
We're collecting dumbbells for home to use in addition to the treadmill. Tim, I am curious about how you feel about your kettle balls. I am still leery of rotator cuff injury with those things. I saw some on closeout at Target.
Any coaching you can offer will be appreciated. I did some flyes , curls leg lifts, crunches and side leg lifts tonight. I expect to pay for it over the next few days but this variety of workouts is really keeping my body guessing.
I am losing about a pound and a half to 2 pounds a week om preparation for a November Bahama cruise. I want to be able to wear my skinny tux and snorkel all day as often as possible.
I'm having hamstring cramping. Any suggestions there. I started a potassium supplement yesterday. The cold water seems to be the culprit or maybe swimming 6 miles...who knows?
