After waking up at 0515 and taking my medications (metformin for PCOS and phentermine-prescribed by my dr) I began day 1 of my journey!
While waiting on my sister I cleaned my fridge, did laundry, and walked the dog, followed by breakfast. Now they say that
breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that it should be your biggest meal, followed by a moderate lunch, and smaller dinner. That in itself is an issue for me. I am
NOT a breakfast person. I tend to eat more in the evenings...I know that is terrible but it is what it is, I just have to retrain my body.
Breakfast consisted of 2 eggs, 2 peices of toast with margarine and sugar free apricot jam, and coffee with powdered and liquid creamer.
After letting my meal settle, my sister and
I hit the gym. I did 15 min on the treadmill following a get fit setting that takes into acct my age, weight, and height. 15 min is all my legs could stand! I followed that by working on the machines. I did two sets of 10 reps (each side) on the abdominal twist seat, 1 set of 10 reps on the abdominal crunch machine, 3 sets of 10 reps on the leg pull in, 1 set of 12 reps each with 5lb dumbells of bent over rows, uprights rows, chest press, and overhead press. Now
I felt super accomplished when I left
but just as lost as when I went in because I have no idea what is right for my beginners body...hence freetrainers.com!
So with a little guidance from this website and some major determination....BRING ON DAY 2!!
