Day 1 - New Rules Workout

I started the break in new rules workout today...was rough...but fun...I took deliberate steps to make sure I stuck to the 60 second rest...that made a difference...really got the heart rate up...


warm up treadmill...3 minutes

squats
warm up set 10 25lbs

2 sets 15 35 lbs
kathys right...those last 3 are killers when you're used to doing 12...and the better form added to the strain.

Static lunges SS w/ 2pt DB rows(elbows out)
2 sets 15
30 lbs BB/16lb DB
I will feel those lunges in the morning...my legs were pretty wobbely.

Pushups SS crunches
2 sets 15
10lb weight on crunch
The pushups were a BLAST...when I started in april...I maxed out at 5...girlie pushups...Today I did the first set of 15 with NO problem...so I did the second set MANLY...the first 10 anyway...I have NEVER been able to do ANY pushups other than on my knees...so that was exciting...

I also got outside for a nice run...I haven't run outside in awhile so it took me a minute to get my stride down...but it was nice...and since its in the 70's here...I figure why not!!!!

Diet is going well...today...first day is always easy...the trick will be staying away from the French Toast tonight!!!!
