different exercises, burn more calories

Anaerobic vs aerobic exercise,
First I’ll differentiate the two,
Anaerobic exercise is high intensity exercise that lasts for a short amount of time and can involve anything from weight training to interval training.
Aerobic exercise is exercise that works muscle groups over a long period of time from low – medium intensity.
I’m not going to get technical or go into too much detail but both these systems run on different fuel systems and produce different results. The main thing to take away is anaerobic exercise burns more calories AFTER training which is known as Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) and can last from 3 – 24 hours depending on the exercise and intensity. Aerobic exercise burns more calories DURING the exercise.
So it’s a good idea if you are trying to lose weight to incorporate both types of exercise into your regime so you get the best energy burn you can.
