Every journey begins with a single step

So I started training again yesterday. I am the queen of starting things and not following through. My goal is to just finish 8 weeks - no matter how much I don't like it or it doesn't seem to be working or whatever other excuse I could possibly come up with. I keep seeing quotes like "just do it" and "trying doesn't get you anywhere, doing does", etc.

I found out I was doing the weights incorrectly yesterday. But now I understand that I need to build up the weight to an intensity that I can do, but that works me. New knowledge - a good thing.

I also have been reading that for weight loss (a big goal), I should be doing cardio in the morning. A challenge for me, as getting up any earlier that I need to is not my favorite thing to do. . but rather than trying to get up in the morning, I simply will do it.

I should probably be doing a daily food plan here as well. . . .Today, so far I have eaten:

An apple
Carrot raisin sprouted grain bread (too many slices)

Carob covered almonds (about 1/3 cup)

Corn pasta with low carb tomato sauce
Salad - spinach, kale, carrots, broccoli, tomato, cucumber

My dinner plans include either a large salad with some sort of protein on it or steamed vegetables with protein.

I've drank about 1/2 gallon of water so far today.

I will be exercising after work today. This will include 25 minutes of cardio (treadmill today) and weight training (legs and calves). Tonight I will do food prep for the next few days. Tomorrow the plan is to do cardio before work, weights in the afternoon.
