Snatch Grip Deadlifts: 3 sets 15x115 (I really hate doing sets of 15 deadlifts...those last few are pure torture)
Superset those with:
T-pushups: 3 sets, 15x5's (made it all the way through on the first two sets, lost stability with the 10-sided DB's on the last set and had to drop one DB toward the end). Wiped me out.
Bulgarian Split Squats with Dumbbell Presses
3 sets; 15x10's (again, brief rest between legs)
Superset with underhand lat pulldowns, 3 sets, 15x100 lbs.
Romanian Deadlifts with bentover rows (deliberately went light on these)
15x40x2,15x45
Superset lower body twist--3 sets 15 each side. We like these, although I like the upper body twist a little more.
Overall, I think I was more mentally prepared for this workout this time. I managed the split squats much better--it was very much a mind over matter thing. I just really stayed focused to get through. That last set I started losing my balance toward the end. On the deadlifts, I started with the snatch grip but I caught myself reverting to regular grip here and there. I did notice that I had more soreness in the lower back muscles after doing these on Tuesday, but that subsided pretty quickly. My knees seem to be better today than how they felt yesterday before I did the front squats.
