Get back to where you once belonged
Surprise surprise I didn't get to the gym last night to do my cardio - instead I went to a friends place and drank champagne.
Which was nice.
However I did push-start a friend's motorbike around the carpark at work for ten minutes earlier in the day so that must count for something I guess. Made up for it today on the treadmill. HIIIIIIIIT-o-rama. But first it was the back
Machine Lat Rows - 2 x 12 x 50, 2 x 10 x 55
Underhand Cable Rows - 2 x 12 x 63, 2 x 10 x 70 (I find this very hard on the grip)
Neutral Grip Pulldowns - 2 x 12 x 49, 1 x 10 x56 (also tough on the grip)
Seated Calf Raises - 4 x 12 x 30
Then to the treadmill for 25 minutes. I've been ramping up the speed for the last few weeks and am now running very very fast at the end. One or two more weeks of adding speed and then I'll add incline to the mix to see how that goes. Anyway - here's how it panned out today.
2 minutes at speed 5.5
1 minute at speed 7.5
1 minute at speed 9.5
1 minute at speed 11.5
1 minute at speed 13.5 (a bit harder than I expected)
1 minute at speed 7.5
1 minute at speed 9.5
1 minute at speed 11.5
1 minute at speed 13.5 (gasp)
1 minute at speed 7.5
1 minute at speed 9.5
1 minute at speed 11.5
1 minute at speed 13.5 (a bit better)
1 minute at speed 7.5
1 minute at speed 9.5
1 minute at speed 11.5
1 minute at speed 13.5 (now normally after this I'd go even faster but, I was a little bit tired and red in the fast)
2 minutes at speed 5.5 (oh, that's better)
1 minute at speed 15.5 (this was supposed to follow after the last speed burst but I needed a rest)
4 minutes at speed 5.5
