I started this morning emphasizing to Josie the importance of adhering to the 60 sec. rests between sets prescribed for this workout, etc., in order to get results. I told her, otherwise, this workout won't be any more effective than any other. She replied that it was difficult because I was the only one with a watch. I suggested she buy a watch...she said, no disrespect, but I'm not going to do that. I said fine, then watch the minute hand on the wall clock. Don't know why the attitude--people in the gym are commenting to her regularly that they are seeing changes in her physique, she's losing inches and weight (though not as much as she'd like, and she admits her diet is lacking). She's always thanking me profusely for my help, now all of a sudden she's giving me shit!
Anyway, my adherence to the 60 sec. rests was much better today...and before long I thought I was going to puke! Must figure out what to eat before I leave the house that won't threaten to leave my stomach mid-workout.
Deadlifts 3 sets, 12x125 ea. superset with
Incline Chest Press, 3 sets, 12x30,12x30,6x30 plus 8x25
Bulgarian split squats: 3 sets, 12x20's ea. superset with
Mixed grip lat pulldowns: 3 sets, 12x100,12x100,12x90
Romanian Deadlifts: 3 sets, 12x95 each.
Superset with Swiss Ball Lateral Rolls: didn't really count reps, just did what I could before losing control and falling on the floor. But I am getting better. I demo'd them again for everyone else because they weren't feeling the benefit and couldn't be bothered. They liked them slightly better after they gave them another shot and actually felt the work they had to do to stay in control.
Don't think I'm going back tonight for cardio. I'm exhausted! I will be lucky not to fall asleep on my keyboard at work. Last night I came straight home, fought falling asleep on the 20 min. drive home, went straight to the bedroom and crashed on the bed; slept for over an hour. Then of course had trouble falling asleep at bedtime, but I went to bed at 10 p.m. sharp. Tomorrow is a rest day from this workout...not sure if I'll go in to the gym to do cardio or just get some extra sleep.
