Just the Beginning
I started working out and getting back in shape about 12 weeks ago. But, I only just barely signed up for ft.
I have a gym membership because I knew that I would at least feel "obligated" to go if I knew money was coming out of my account every month (I hate having things go to waste). I also signed up for a live personal trainer (just 30 minutes 2 times a month). Finally, I was on this program that was similar to ft, but it was specific to the gym and it figured out my weights, machines, and reps for me.
It has been going OK. I did have about 3 weeks in the middle there where work was hectic, I only went in to the gym once per week for those 3 weeks, and they brought in food for lunch and dinner at work.
My trainer measured me a couple days ago and my body fat percentage actually went up! I was shocked (even with knowing about the 3 weeks) and a bit frustrated. I have noticed more muscle tone and I fit my clothes a bit better.
Anyway, I was glad to find ft because I really didn't know how to eat better and how much of what to eat.
Today went pretty good.
I got closer to my calorie, protein, and carb goal for the day, and I played soccer for an hour at lunch!
Things should get even better when I can go to the store and get better foods (my wife and kids aren't the healthiest eaters).
