Thursday, 8/16--HTI Workout A2
DB Incline Press: 3 sets, 15x35's,10x30's + 5x25's, 7x30's + 8x25 (just did not want to give up on the 30's) superset with:
Cable Seated Row: 3 sets, 15x100,15x90,15x90
DB Shoulder Press: 3 sets, 5x25 + 10x20,15x20,15x20
superset with
Wide-grip lat pulldown: 3 sets, 15x100,10x100 + 5x90, 10x100 + 5x90
Close-Grip Bench Press: 3 sets, 15x65,15x65,15x55
superset with
High Pull: 3 sets, 15x50,15x50,15x40
Friday, 8/17, HTI Workout B2
Squats: 5 sets, 5x105,5x125,5x125,5x135,5x135
superset with
Dealift Shrug: 5 sets, 5x125,5x135x4
Bulgarian Split Squat: 5 sets, 5x25's,5x25's,5x60x3
(initially thought this one would be awkward with a barbell, but it is actually easier to stay balanced)

Step-ups: 5x60x5

Close-Grip Bench Press: 4 sets, 10x65,10x70,10x75,7x75

High Pull: 4 sets, 10x60,10x50x3
One thing I have to say about these workouts is it really takes some focus to keep the rep schemes straight since the rotate for three workouts, and A and B follow a different pattern. Twice I've been late and the others are trying to follow their logs and they've been doing it all wrong.
I had an run in with a bitch at the gym. She's a regular, training for competition, a true success story coming from being severely overweight and now obsessed with weight training. She's never been the friendliest, but I always make an effort to be friendly. Well, today when I went to use the lat pulldown cable machine I noticed a towel reserving it, but I thought it belonged to Maricela since I'd seen her using the machine a minute earlier. When I sat down I knew something wasn't right because the weight was set too high. Since I didn't see anyone nearby, I decided to crank out a set anyway. Well, before I could start this woman came storming up looking none too pleased. I moved out of the way then asked politely, "Do you mind if I work in?", she gave me a nasty look and said, "Yes, I do mind." Okay, then. I'm done with her. Nice!
