I had an amazing leg workout this morning! I warmed up with a half mile at 6.0 mph with a 7.0 0.1mi. finish. I had about five minutes of stretching then went into the weight room. Then, I went to barbell squats on the Smith machine. My first set was a burnout of 15 reps at a comfortable weight, 135 lbs. My next set was 12 reps at 175 lbs. Next set 6 reps, 225 lbs. Last set 5 reps, 245 lbs.
After barbell squats I moved to leg press. My first set was a burnout, 20 reps at 175 lbs. Next set was 15 at 205. Next set 12 at 235. My last set was 6 of 250.
I did a few calf stretches then went straight into the seated calf raises. 20 reps at 100, then 10 at 115. I went to the standing calf raises and did 2 more sets of 10 at 100 pounds plus body weight.
I ran another half mile at 6.0mph with a 7.0mph 0.1mi. After a ran my cool down I did an ab workout and finished off with speed squats, 3x20. the speed squats weren't very challenging maybe I'll go to 3x30.
