The dreaded scale! Evil of evils, my arch nemesis, dark slithering shadow of my nightmares!
So before my workout, I needed to weigh myself for my log book. Lo and behold! I dropped a pound and a half between yesterday and today! What a great way to start off my workout!
I felt almost normal again today. I don't know what that bug was, but it hit hard, and recovery took a long time. I felt just plain awful for 5 days, and it started to break on the 6th day. Recovered all the 7th day, and I felt pretty decent today.
Normally, Mondays are a circuit training day for weights in addition to the cardio, but to play it safe, I kept it to just cardio. I bought a recumbant stationary bike to make sure I didn't have any excuses about skipping out. It's a Schwinn 840, and I really do love it. For a piece of home equipment, it's really great. Whisper quiet, smooth to operate, and all in the comfort of my own home. So, I rolled out the Schwinn, and I'd planned on doing a mild HRM based workout for 20 minutes. I set the program to be fairly easy, and it didn't seem to want to let me get over 130 bpm. Not much I can do about that, which is why I chose that workout. However, I felt pretty strong and solid at the end of the 20 minutes, so I did another manual 12 minutes at the end of that, and got the heart up to a peak of 140. I satisfied my yearn for a good sweat, and I did most of the workout taking it easy in a bow to safety and health.
I use sportstrack live to record my stats on my phone. If you're interested, here's the link:

It's a bit off because it's a stationary bike, and so the bluetooth heart monitor and GPS in my phone don't record any distance or speed, but it's pretty good for tracking heart rate, and the bike itself shows me the rest.
