Mon. Aug. 20....Getting back on track...

After a horrible week diet wise, exercise wise, stress wise...I'm getting back on track. Last week was one of the toughest in my relationship with hubby and ironically it marked our 20th anniversary. Fortunately we've come thru it and the tension has finally dissipated. The really good news is that we are both focussed on getting back to a healthier lifestyle, which hubby's been putting off for quite some time. We have a mini vacation planned for late Sept. to celebrate our 20th, so that gives us about 5 weeks to get a good kick start, but it will continue after the 5 weeks as well.

This weeks focus will be diet. Primarily veggies and lean meat along with healthy fats every 2-3 hours. I'll be keeping fruit and carbs to a minimum for the first 2 weeks. I'll be getting back to the gym tomorrow and will be going for walks with the hubby on most days.

I'm very glad to have last week behind us, there were moments when I wasn't sure our relationship would survive it! It feels good to move forward!
