Monday....day whatever for forever.....
No Wts today...part of my new "don't overtrain" strategy. I have pilates at 6pm and then will do my swimming at 8pm...and that's enough for today (I keep repeating this in my head, geez I'm hopeless!)
As for the weekend...I'm very proud of myself! My running buddy bailed on me because it was like minus 30 degrees with the windchill (thank god she knocked some sence into me) so I went to the gym and did a 1hr "kardio Knockout" class. Fun but very tough...my butt still hurts!. Sunday I took as a true, official, rest day and felt really good about that!! I still have a lingering nagging cough, but feel well rested this week. Hubby is away on business, but I think I can manage getting both the kids and myself to all of our multiple after school/work activities (time to play super-mom)
One other thing I'm trying is a no beer rule. I have switched to drinking white wine, and limit myself to 2 glasses, max, while out. This meant I had a total of 4 glasses over the weekend, which I'm embarassed to say, saved me at least 600 calories over a normal "Guiness outing". My plan is to keep this up until St Paddys day, march 27 (gotta have a Guiness -or 2- on St Paddy's Day!)
Diet is going very well and I've already dropped about 3 lbs, and I'm confident that I'll be able to continue to drop 1-2lb per week until I reach my goal of 150lb (I think I've had this goal for about 10yrs now-have hit it twice, but the weight always creeps back up)
