Just more or less a comparison with the method I use at home and the method at the gym. I know the numbers are different and the methods are different, but as long as the overall BF% goes down, it's all good.
They use and electrical impedence type machine called a Futrex to measure. Quick and painless.
The last time I had it done was June 12th. Numbers in brackets are from them.
Weight: 198 (200)
Blood Pressure: 123/77 (121/71)
Resting Heart Rate: 90bpm (113bpm - I had no coffee this morning)
BF%: 20.2 (21.8)
Lean: 158 (156)
Fat: 39 (43)
Water: 59.8% or 53.8 litres. I don't have the before.
Flexibility (Hamstring Stretch): 37cm (36cm)
Grip Right: 62 (65)
Grip Left: 56 (60)
So that's that. Seven weeks or so from now I'll get it done again.
I followed that with some cardio. I used the Concept II and did the following routine I found in Men's Health:
The 20-Minute Fat-Burner: Try Teti's routine. It's designed to max out your muscles during each interval, while the recovery periods help increase the rate at which you burn fat. Set the rowing machine at a resistance of four. Then perform sets of 10, 15, and 20 power strokes--pulling the handle to your torso as fast and as hard as you can. Separate the power strokes with 60 seconds of easy rowing at about 50 percent of your full effort. Repeat the cycle until you've rowed for 20 minutes.
I managed 17 minutes which included a two minute warm up and two minute cool down.
Whew.
