Sooooo I figured I'd see where my fitness is at after so much down time by taking the bike to a mountain bike trail.  First off I have to say that their signage is MUCH better, and they've done some good trail work fixing a couple of rough patches and adding some minor improvements :)

I got out and after the first 4 singletracks, I was feeling gassed.  The first 2 are pretty easy, but #3 is called the Goat Track or some crap like that because it's up-up-up! It's followed by one called WuWu which, while it isn't as bad, it still takes it's toll.  Anyway.. a couple more trails, and I wound up bumping into a girl who was lost.  She wanted to know the way out -- Wrong person to ask.  I told her she could follow me if she wanted, so that's how the next couple of hours went.  I'd do one, then wait for her to catch up, which was fine, but it made a 20k ride pretty slow.

After bumping into a certain FreeTrainers friend towards the end, I called it a day.  A good long nap and a decent meal later, I went back and felt much much better.

Glad I got the season pass! Tomorrow it's out on the OC and who knows, maybe more time on the trail.
