Please don't let it be a herniated disk );
Well, after consultation with my PT, I went for x-rays to see if I've done something serious to my back...possibly a herniated disk?? I'm showing a lot of the classic symptoms, but thankfully not all of them (no numbness or pain radiating down my leg), so there may still be hope...either way, I won't be running, doing heavy leg work etc for at least a few weeks. I should have results in a week or so, but unfortunately an x-ray won't tell me much. What I need is a CT or MRI, but in Canada, we're talking months to get an appt. I could pay $500 to have it done in the states-within a couple of days, and if it continues to worsen, I may consider this option. I'm pretty freekin depressed about this..I've got the golf season looming and I can't even set up with a golf club at the moment. I also want to start training for my triathlons.... I guess I'll just have to rethink my workouts and adjust them to be back friendly...unfortunately, when you can't even bend over, it makes exercise choices severely limited.....let's hope this is just a temp problem and I'm back at it in a couple of weeks! My short term focus is to still get in some light exercise (not moving will make things even worse) and keep up with the physio. I also really need to focus on eating as clean as possible.....Alright...enough with life thowing me these curves...can't I just coast for a change???
