I just happpened to come across this site and I am so happy that I did. I was doing really well a few weeks ago in regards to my weight loss journey. I had joined a gym, began to eat healthy, and was feeling better than I had in quite a while. Unfortunately, this change for the best did not last for long.
On my birthday, I really splurged and began to slack on eating well and working out all together. I started making up silly excuses for myself like "it's my birthday", "I've worked hard, so I deserve to enjoy and relax", "just for today", etc. I wish I could have foreseen that "just for today" was really going to be just for a few weeks. My bad eating habits had creeped back and sadly so did the 17lbs I had worked so hard for 7 weeks to lose. This really got me down and I knew I had to do something about it. So I joined this site!
Those 7 weeks were really tough and taught me a lot about my body and that real results do not come easy or from a magic pill. It takes hard work, dedication, excerise, and a balanced diet. So I mark today as the first day back on my journey. I know what I need to do and how to do, time to take action. This is hoping that this site will be a catalyst and a great resource to get the ball rolling. I already feel super excited and pumped just by joining this site and surronding myself with people that are also motivated to make change!
