Hey everyone, sorry for forgetting about you.
To fill you in on my goings, I've joined the gym at uni, and working there with moderate success. Uni life has been really stressful for me, with some pre-existing anxiety issues, so I dropped off the radar for a while and I'm working with my counsellor to get back up and running with everyone else. Most uni days have involved sitting in the library from 2:30-9pm, grabbing snacks from the supermarket to nibble on while I work. I would find it super helpful for some suggestions on what I should be looking for, sandwiches and such aren't very appealling and although I'll pick up grapes and other berries to snack on, the packet of chips and chocolate normally comes along for the ride.
I've been going to the gym when I hit any serious productivity walls, and going for the couch to 5 K sessions (approx 20-30 mins intermittent walk/run). After signing up a trainer also set me up with a strength routine, but I've only been doing it maybe once a week (barring the fortnight I couldn't crawl out of the house/bed).
As I get schoolwork under control I'm aiming to get back to the gym 3 times a week, even if it's 3 sets of cardio without the strength. I'm still pertty happy that I've gotten myself comfortable with being in a gym environment without stressing too much, and work around any "embarrassing" situations by doing floorwork out of the way of others. :)
Hope everyone else has been productive and well,
Onwards,
Alex.
