Run, Sleep, Diet, Gym
Instead of trying to do everything at once, I have decided to get back into the cardio (running) routine first. It's always been the most motivational for me. I ran a couple of times over the weekend, and I ran 3.5 miles yesterday. I can already tell a difference in how I feel. Even better, I am not craving junk food! I plan to run that far each day this week!
I recognized last night that I also need to get back to a better sleep pattern. I want to return to the previous fitness lifestyle when I was in bed by 10, and up by 3. This allowed me to get a good start on my workday so that I wouldn't feel pressure while at the gym. I know that my new job (and the commute) has hindered that. I am now at the point where I feel comfortable enough with the job to get back to a better routine.
DIET is key, too! I know that plays a huge role in fitness. I used to be so disciplined, but it's been extra hard since the closest Kroger closed. Now, Publix is the closest option, and it is too pricy for healthy food. Besides, the selection is horrible since it's a very small Publix. THIS WEEK, I will try Kroger's delivery service from the midtown store. I know which foods to get, so it's not like I have to physically go there. I can still go to Publix for their specials, but I seriously need to start using the delivery service from Kroger. Besides, if I'm not going into Publix hungry, I won't get so much junk!
I am looking forward to getting back to the gym; however, I know that the running is what will keep me motivated. It's like brain candy! I love the running playlist that I created, too! After a full week of running, I will feel better and more confident that I will stick to an exercise regimen again! Then, I will feel comfortable returning to the gym. When I do, I will likely postpone the workout one more week. I would rather develop the habit of going first, and I want to focus for a full week on core stuff: abs, squats, stretches, etc.
I can do this! I feel it!
