Should I keep doing these squats if my knees hurt? I am think my weight just has weekend my knees...any suggestions?(the squats that look like you are sitting in a chair)
If you are unable to get to a trainer, get to a mirror and watch yourself go through the movement. Stand so you can see your body from the side andd make sure your knees are not going past your toes when you go down ( your legs should look like a square, not a triangle when your in the lowest position. If that looks good, try a smaller range of motion until you strengthen your knees. try going half way down. If that is good go a little further. Slowly work your way down to a full squat. If you are still having pain, get thee to your Dr. and have them check it out.
Well, have you had a trainer teach you the proper technique for the squat? For a simple movement it is extremely complex.
Get your form checked, ensure it is good and if that doesn't help, perhaps seek medical advice.
