Sunday - I got up and got into the gym as intended - very pleased, it is soooo easy to stay home and sleep on Sundays
Weighed myself - down 5 pounds from Friday (water weight...)
Chest and Triceps...and AC/DC Yeah!
Warm-up elliptical, 7 minutes
Bench Press 95X12, 105X10, 115X8, 125X6, 135X4 next week I will push the last set harder - there was NOT A SOUL in the gym, so no spot available so I played it safe and I must admit, 135 was easy :)
Incline DB press 40'sX6, 50'sX6, 55'sX6 (that was the right weight)
DB flyes 3 sets 30'sX8
DB pullover 3 sets 50X8
Closegrip bench (I use the upright chest press machine and put the wide grip pull-down bar across the handles..anywhoo) 100X12, 115X10, 120X8, 130X5 my arms were a little fried already, the first 4 sets felt tough, but the last set of five kind of 'opened up' and was easier, go figure.
Superset:
3 sets : triceps rope push-downs 90X6, weighted bench dips 25X6 arms fried :)
The rest of Sunday was spent at a family birthday party BBQ - I had to transfer my dad from his wheelchair to the car and back, had to transfer him from chair to chair at the house and had to hual his wheelchair (with him in it) up and down the stairs, lol. I was awfully glad that I had worked chest and not back in the morning.
The Food was CLEAN :) I ate some chicken, some extra lean beef and lots of veggies. instead of rice i had 1/2c of hominy and avocado salad. When it was time for cake I had another lean burger and more broccoli and cauliflower. I realized that most days I would rather eat more meat than sweets :)
Oh - and if you haven't tried this recipe yet - I don't know if it works with any type of protein powder - but with the Beverly protein you can mix it with just enough water to form a batter, then microwave it for about aminute and let it cool a little - it becomes just like a brownie - wow!
Okay - cardio today!
