using the "Skinny Rules"
Doing the total body routine for the third time today. I can definitely feel it in my butt and thighs. Working on following the Skinny Rules diet but fell off the wagon at two parties this weekend. Ate some desserts and pizza but I do feel skinner because besides those transgresations I have been sticking to the rules. I am not a dieter but I have tried on my own version of low carb diet and feel like this is a much better approach to overall eating because it really emphasises a good balance of fats, protein, and carbs. I usally eat lots of fatty proteins such as bacon, salami, heavy cream in all my soups, high fat ground ground beef, etc.. and when I sauteed or roasted veggies, I use a lot of olive oil or cook my eggs in bacon grease. So I think reducing my fat in take will be the biggest adjustment but will make the biggest difference. Under my version of a "low carb diet", I thought as long as I did not eat potatoes, rice, or pasta, I could eat all the fatty proteins and add as much oil, bacon grease, or cream as I wanted - but now I realize these things are loaded with calories which probably why I gained 15 pounds in the past year! I also feel less deprived knowing I can have carbs as long as I balance it and have them early in the day. Any one else out there every tried the Skinny Rules? How did it go?
