W6/D2 Killer leg/butt day + HIIT + swim
I really do enjoy this new workout....I can get both the workout + HIIT done in just over an hour, which is great. I find it very satisfying that I work up one hell of a sweat doing both the leg routine and HIIT!
I did shift things around a bit, but I think I got everything in (except calf work if we were supposed to do it)
SS 3 sets 20 squats//20 walking lunges//20 jump squats (still no wt added, will not add wt until I no klonger get DOMS!)
SS 3 sets 20 step ups//20 rev lunges
SS 3 sets SLDL's(45lb)//20 plie squats
my legs were like rubber as I walked to the bike for HIIT.
HIIT on stationary bike 10 intervals 1min level 3, 1 min level 11...OMG I was absolutely dripping and could barely walk down the stairs (the bikes are up on a 2nd level)-I actually had to hold onto the hand rail to go down.
Finished with the stab. ball hip flexions...3 sets 15--really felt these in my hammy's!
stretch (especially my hamstrings and hip flexors) to cool down.
Great workout, but I have to admit I'm getting tired of having to shower 3X/day....shower when I get up, shower after workout, shower after swimming (after 1 hour in chlorinated pool!)....not doing my hair colour a lot of good! I'll finally get the body I want, but my hair will look like shit....just can't win!
Wednesday will be a real treat for me...no wts AND no swimming....almost a rest day...woohoo!
BTW, my father-in-law, although not doing much better, hasn't gotten worse. The Dr's just think he's going to have a long slow recovery...so that is some relief. My poor husband looks like he hasn't slept in a week, which he probably hasn't.....
