Week 1 - Day 2
Today I was in pain... lots of pain. My legs feel like giving out. Having once been a pretty good athlete (10 years ago), it surprised me some. Then I realized and remembered how fat and lazy I have become. AH! It all makes sense again...
Still, I managed to get to the gym and take care of today's training. I kept on pace with my nutrition as well. Passed up cookies from a "pusher". LOL. Here's how today went:
Warmup: 5 minutes on the StairMaster
Shoulder Presses w/ 25lbs for each arm, doing 4 sets of 15, 12, 10 and 8.
Standing Lateral Raises w/ 15 lbs for each arm, doing 4 sets of 14, 12, 10 and 8.
Front Dumbbell Raises w/ 15 lbs for each arm, doing 4 sets of 14, 12, 10 and 8.
Machine Standing Calf Raises w/ 90 lbs, 3 sets of 15.
Seated Calf Raises w/ 90 lbs, 3 sets of 15.
I ended with Cardio. I was 'scheduled' for 25 minutes of the StairMaster. As I said earlier, my legs were in lots of pain. I mustered through the warmup. But once I started as the cardio, I couldn't handle it. My legs ached and burned too much. So after 5 minutes, I switched to a stationary bike and road for an additional 20 minutes to complete the 25 minutes of cardio.
As always, I walk home, so there's my cool down.
Tomorrow I'm off, so I'll be doing lots of stretching.
