week 1 of 12......or 1 of 84 days.....
After waffling for weeks and not getting serious enough about diet I've decided to go back to WW for 12 weeks. This should enable me to drop the 15 lbs I've managed to let creep back onto me over the past year or so. I'll just use the online program, which has great tools for tracking what I eat and I find this method easier than fitday. Knowing what I should be eating as far as C/P/F goes, I can just tailor what I eat and let WW monitor how much I'm eating. I know I eat healthy these days, but I'm obviously having too much of a good thing. It'll also help keep me honest on the weekends.
Along with this I'm re-jigging my workouts so that I have enough energy for my swims while keeping my wt lifting heavy and still doing the extra cardio. My weekly plan will be as follows:
Mon: swim/HIIT/Pilates (if I know I can't swim I'll do wts)
Tues: swim/run(40min)/ABS
Wed: Lower body Wts (compound moves) Cardio challenge
Thurs: Swim/Run(40min) ABS
Fri: Upper body Wts (compound moves) HIIT-bike
Sat: Run (or cardio class) ABS at home
Sun: Active REST (possibly swim if I miss a swim day during the week) Will always be doing some kind of activity like skiing, skating, yoga, walking etc.
Today's workout: Mon: Swim/HIIT/Pilates (can't swim so did wts)
Wts:
5 min run on treadmill
3 sets rows 60/80/90lb
3 sets bench 55/60/60lb
3 sets SLDL 55/65/95lb
3 sets pullups 70/70/70lb counterwt (~95b)-these will get easier as I drop wt (:
HIIT
9 intervals of 1min on bike (thought I was gonna puke!!) OMG I can't believe how hard this was!!! Felt great when I was done though.
Pilates this evening...
I'm going to try one new recipe per week from the WW site. This week will be a slow cooker hearty black bean soup with spicy chorizo sausage. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I'm very excited about starting this 12 week program. I should be bikini ready by May...too bad it'll still be too cold here to wear one ); My reward for my wt loss will be a spring shopping spree....may even go to NYC to do it!
Only 83.5 days to go!
