What I liked about today: no abs and no calves! Is that right? Or did I miss something when I wrote it down. Decent not too rushed workout.
Like this:
wide grip assisted pullups: 4 sets 10x90 lbs assistance
seated cable row: 4 sets 12x60, 12x60, 5x70, 5x60
standing lat pressdowns: 3 sets 10x30 (used a different machine--I am always ten lbs. lighter on this one I guess because the mechanism is different)
BB Bench: 4 sets 12x65, 8x75, 8x80 (with spotter help), 5x75 (my spotter/partner had to leave early).
Pec Deck: 4 sets, 10x45, 10x45, 6x50, 7x45 (threw in the extra set since I didn't make at least 8 reps at the 50)
Incline DB Presses: 3 sets, 12x25, 11x25, 11x25
This evening came back to do challenge; beat 132 with 135 at 16 minutes. I know if I run the entire time I will easily beat my previous calorie burn...didn't have any water so didn't make the effort tonight.
Also, running was uncomfortable with the soreness deep in my hamstrings. I didn't get stiff and sore all over, but I do feel it pretty intensely in spots.
Diet: no time for preworkout anything
Breakfast 8:15--oatmeal with a few raisins and a few slices of banana AND a small omelette from the cafeteria. I would say equivalent of two eggs with a little cheddar cheese on top. A little splurge.
My next meal was delayed as I we had a disaster drill and I was required to help in the command center until it ended at noon.
Lunch: 4 oz. chicken breast, stir-fry veggies, 1/2 c. brown rice
mini snack 1:30: french onion soup (just the broth and onions, no bread and cheese)--not much sustenance but something in my tummy.
4:00 plain nonfat yogurt with scoop of vanilla protein powder, 5 crushed pecans, and the last of that banana.
After cardio, went veggie shopping and didn't get dinner made until 7:45 p.m. (had to feed the dogs first).
egg fried rice and red chard (one whole egg plus three whites, 1/2 c. brown rice, 1 t. olive oil, 1 T. feta cheese).
For dessert I'm having coffee...mmmm, I can smell it brewing.
