This is my first FLog post in a looooong time. The truth is, I haven't been working out regularly and my workouts had mainly consisted of riding my bicycle to work and back. My work load has been so high that I haven't even had time to consider re-joining my gym, with a full-time job and trying to finish up the new version of FT in 2011. Now that FTv3 is live, I have a bit more free time available to try and enjoy life a bit more. This weekend I can honestly say that I had a REALLY good and fun workout, skiing in Savognin Switzerland.
Day 1
Cloudy, foggy, light snow. Not being in the best shape of my life, skiing in these conditions meant that I had to slow down a lot, which put a lot of strain on my quads. By the end of the day, my legs were so tired that I couldn't go more than 100m or so without having to stop for a break. My knees were also starting to hurt a bit - could this be the start of old age? naaaaahhh
Day 2
Sunny, clear, perfect snow :-) I woke up with intense pain in my thighs, and a bit of pain in my calves as well. Looking outside from the hotel window, I saw that the weather had cleared up, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to hit the slopes again. Managed to get a few hours of skiing in, and my legs were once again exhausted to failure by the end of the day.
Today
recovery :-)
