Nothing like a day off to put me in a great mood! Got to the gym at 5:10. Couldn't find my partners anywhere...but finally found them in a corner of the weight room warming up on the leg press. They were thinking it was leg day and were getting a head start. Ha! Were they wrong. By the time we were finished there arms were all done.
Here's how mine went:
warm up: 3 sets alternating presses: 10x15 each
Standing Overhead presses: 3 sets, 12x45,10x50,5x55,5x50 (to make up for not hitting 8 on the 3rd set)
Lateral raises: 3 sets, 12x15 each set
Triceps pushdowns: 3 sets, 12x40,10x50,8x50
SS w/ DB Curls: 12x20,10x25,8x25
Skullcrushers: 3 sets, 12x35,10x40,8x40
SS w/Standing ez bar curls: 12x45,10x50,8x50
Everything felt good and we were moving fast. My butt really needed a break...thank goodness it gets to take today and the next three days off!
Followed the workout with 35 minutes on the treadmill. Walked for two minutes at 4, ran for 13 minutes at 5.5, my knee was starting to bug me at this point, so I walked for the remaining 20 minutes.
I have an exciting weekend ahead of me. I will be attending a PT certification test preparation workshop Saturday and Sunday. Since it will be held closer to my parents' house I am going to leave today and spend the weekend there. I am especially looking forward to the weekend because, although my parents are in Florida, my oldest sons is living at their house while he goes to school, and I hardly ever get to see him. So, I'm bringing my youngest son and when I'm not in the workshop I'll be having a mom and sons weekend! I see the girls much more frequently than the boys, so it is going to be really special for me.
If you read this, have a great weekend!
