Warmups: 10 regular pushups (easy now that I can do 15 he he); 10 hands on bench; 10 feet on bench. I think I misread the instructions, now I have to laugh at myself and you can laugh with me...ha ha ha. When I was translating the workout from the printout to a spreadsheet I typed in the names of the pushups as: one set regular, one set hands on bench, advanced trainers, one set with feet on a bench. This morning we were wondering what kind of pushups 'advanced trainers' were, so we sub'd another set of hands on bench pushups.
Okay, you can stop laughing now. Here's the rest, it eventually gets pretty sad.
Incline DB Presses: 15x25,10x25,10x25,4x30 (with help from Maricela who is a lot stronger on the chest exercises)
Incline flys: 12x20,10x20,7x25 + 1
Bentover rows: 15x55,12x60,10x60,8x60 -- not my favorite, feels awkward.
Wide grip pulldowns: 12x60,6x70+4x60,8x70
DB Overhead presses (here is that sad part):15x20,12x20 (okay, sort of lying here. I couldn't get the twelve done without stopping--my arms were really starting to give out)--3rd set I gave up on dumbbells and switched to a 50 lb. barbell for 10 reps (but 5, pause, 5 more). We went on to side laterals, then before we left the gym and picked up a 40 lb. barbell for 8 more overhead presses. I'd had enough rest so it was no problem.
Side laterals: 12x15,10x15,8x15--wish they had dumbbells for one lb. increments to progress on these.
Tonight: HIIT as prescribed pretty much--adding on a few extra minutes but I was tired and I wanted to go home.
Diet: Haven't got it figured out yet because last week I bought three quarts of plain yogurt and a quart of cottage cheese. I am the only one in the house who eats this stuff and it was supposed to take me through another pay period. I think I'll just have to continue following my current diet (which is very good) until the yogurt is gone).
