What I mean is I've started the Insanity fitness program. It's tough. Tough like the lady feeding pigeons pieces of raw ground beef down at the septic tank near my house they call a park.
It's my first day and I feel like I've seen things, ya know? Gone through stuff, ya dig?
You've seen the Insanity infomercial, yes? I'm sure we all have. They show it at all times of day on television because there is no time limit on when you can make someone feel like they're Chewbacca's lazy wife -_-"
So finally, after many hmm's and haw's on what kind of workout routine I would want to stick to, I finally picked Insanity.
Thish bish was definitely NOT my first choice, however. I've been doing kickboxing and boxing routines, dance, pilates, yoga, etc. for quite a while now but even when I pushed myself I felt as if I were lacking something. Oh yeah, SWEAT! They weren't doing enough to make me sweat and beg for mercy. That's what I wanted.
I KNOW that I've definitely found it in Insanity. After I was done, I swear I wanted to kill everyone in the DVD. THEY were smiling and "resting" and talking! How could they talk?! I watched this phenomenon while I lie in a pool of my own sweat (or blood :O ) and cursed my short, chubby legs for making me fall over.
THAT has never happened to me. I think I've found the monster to push me past my limits and although I feel sore (it's been about ten minutes since I've finished the fitness test) and I'm halfway to trying to barter my soul on ebay for the stamina I want, I'm happy.
Seriously. I'm bloody happy and proud. If you saw me right now, you'd slap the smirk off my face THAT'S how damn smug I am.
So tell me, are any of you doing this or any other kind of high cardiokickyourasstochina workout? What's your motivation? What keeps you going? Have you achieved the results you were looking for or are you like me and just started?
You had me laughing in this post! I have not tried insanity, but for everyone whom I've spoke with about it says it KICKS ASS! They're all dead after the work out and most don't complete the program because it's either too tough or they skipped a day and never went back. I hope you're able to stick it out! The results should be amazing! Good luck!
