Yippee! First day of new workout...

Got to the gym early for this one. My first time working out with a partner and wasn't sure what that would mean timewise. I actually think it might have sped things up since my breaks were dictated by the length of her sets.

Chest:
BB Bench Press: 4 sets 55x12, 65x12, 70x8, 75x8
Incline DB Press: 3 sets 25X10
Pec Flys: 3 sets 15x12, 15x12, 20x8

Back:
Wide grip (assisted) pullups: 4 sets 100x12, 100x12, 100x9, 90x5 (I hate these but it did also feel good--a lot of assistance, I know)

Seated cable row: 3 sets 60x10, 60x10, 60x9
Standing Lat Pressdowns 3 sets: 50x10, 40x12, 40x12 (a little awkward figuring out the positioning standing in front of the seat) But definitely felt these!

Did abs last 'cause they bore me so:
Crunches on swiss ball w/10 lb. med ball: 3 sets 15 supersetted with oblique crunches on the ball with same 10 lb. ball also 3 sets of 15
Leg raises--couldn't find a lighter ball, attempted with 10 lb. ball but no go. Did the 3 sets of 15 with small swiss ball, no added weight but holding the wider ball between my feet made it challenging nonetheless.

I really enjoyed this routine (except the abs :-)) and was done early! Time to wait in line at the Starbucks drive through and to heat up my oatmeal at work.

Back to the gym at 5:30 p.m. for cardio. REALLY didn't want to go (feeling crampy and lethargic). Kept telling myself I'd feel better if I'd just do it. I did it. Did the recumbent bike (lazier position) but pushed myself for 40 minutes. And guess what? When I walked out of the gym I did feel better. I'll remind myself of that next time I don't wanna.

Diet: Completely forgot my preworkout shake. Had postworkout protein shake followed by my oatmeal.

Next meal:
4 oz. roasted chicken breast
1/2 c. brown rice
asparagus

And the one after that:
Plain nonfat yogurt
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
2/3 c. mixed berries (this is one of my favorite treats)

Between cardio and dinner I was starved:
1/4 c. cottage chees (2%)
1/4 c. brown rice
about 10 pecans

Dinner will be pork chop and swiss chard.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's butt blaster...
