Since it was abs and cardio only, I was going go all out on the ab workout. However, I took my time getting to the gym this morning and just had time for the bare minimum. When I got their my training partner had already done cardio on the bike and had started the spin class. She did another 30 minutes on the treadmill after our crunches. After that she decided that she was going to go back to the gym after work. She usually works out and does cardio twice a day.
Anyway, the workout:
3 sets each crunches supersetted with oblique crunches on the big ball with the little 10 lb. ball a la yesterday 15 reps each. Ditto for the leg raises with the small swiss ball between the legs, 3 sets of 15.
I did my 40 minutes on the treadmill running first 15 minutes, then walking at high incline to keep my heart rate from dropping, then ran for a few minutes at the end just before cooling down. My shirt was soaked...felt good.
The Food:
Preworkout shake--out of berries so experimented with chocolate protein shake with a few tablespoons of cooked brown rice in the blender. Sucked! Eew. Brown rice doesn't blend really nice.
Breakfast, 8:20: oatmeal; brought raw eggs to cook, dropped one first thing on the mat under my chair at work and the rest are still in the fridge at work.
11:15--Found some yummy homemade beef veggie soup in the cafeteria. Big chunks of fresh zucchini, potatoes and other healthy things, a few pieces of beef and a nice broth.
2:15--4 oz. chicken breast, 1/2 c. brown rice, broccoli rabe-rapini.
4:45--2/3 c. plain nonfat yogurt, 1 scoop vanilla protein, 5 pecans crushed, and 3/8 bad boy banana. Did I mention I'm out of berries?
Dinner: chicken, brown rice and stir fry veggies?
