Okay, so for someone who is unwilling to eat soy products and doesn't have time for much more than a turkey sandwich at lunch...what are some real food options for me?

Any diet advice I've ever gotten is virtually impossible for me to do. They call for whacky recipes for lunch and dinner and even breakfast, they don't taste good...and I simply don't have time for them.

What would be a normal day's meal for me? I have 10 minutes for breakfast, about 45 minutes for lunch (by the time I get home and leaving time to get back to the office) and hate to spend a lot of time in the kitchen at night cooking.

Any "real person" advice would be GREATLY appreciated ASAP! I'd like to get started soon!

Thanks!

Ok so what things do you like to eat there are a lot of good "real foods"easy to make. You can choose from tuna, salmon, steak, chicken, hamburger, eggs, turkey etc....for protein. any vege, brown rice sweet potatos, for carbs. Do not forget nuts, chese, fruit, peanutbutter. Cottage chese yogurt. A nice meal is 3 egg whites, skim milk, and 1 cup oatmeal for breakfast, lunch soem cottage cheese tuna and a glass of water. snack----carrots and some nuts. Meal 3 chicken breast with browm rice and broccoli. meal 4 turkey with sweet potatos and a salad. or something like that. You do not cook all this everynight but like every 2-3 days cook a bunch up and freeze it. Hope this helps!

Thank you 7707mutt. I have some real "calorie counting" issues. I'm like totally addicted! I can't help but look at a label for everything I eat. I look at the fat and cals. Would you say that a good breakfast is a serving of cereal and a serving of oj? Would you say a whole wheat turkey sandwich with mustard and lettuce and a yogurt is a good lunch? What about veggies and fruit to snack on in between? And for dinner...a boneless/skinless chicken breast with a baked potato, sour cream and say asparagus is okay? I really appreciate your advice! Now if I only I could get myself to stay away from fast food, chocolate, junk food and everything else on the planet I'd be good to go!

Well for a person that lifts and does cardio I do not like cereal and oj combo. You can acutally get egg whites already to go in the supermarket abd the instant oatmeal(plain) and have a meal in the time it takes to get the ceral and oj ready. Oj as a drink is ok, but the cereal is not really good to fuel your day....oatmeal, of something similar is ok. The lunch is ok but bread even whole wheat is just full of carbs that turn to sugar and get stored as fat. So if that is all the bread you eat then i say fine. The other meal is great, go lite if you can on the sour cream, if you like add salsa instead......as for the junk food do the best you can it is all we can do.....I feel that you overall diet needs more protein.....weight watchers is known to loose weight but you loose muscle with it as well that is bad. When you loose on a diet like that it slows your metablosim down and cause you actully to gain weight or stay the same. Eat more protein and lift weights heavier you will not bulk up like most women fear...trust me....

you need protein in the morning especially. Add some protein powder to your cereal or have some natural peanut butter (the fat is good for your heart).
Let me know if you want more info.

Thanks asimmer. Can't say I'll be trying any protein powder in my cereal! I will switch from cold cereal to oatmeal in the morning and only eat bread at lunch. (Whole wheat) Is JIF okay? :) Sorry...I'm just too lazy for all that other stuff! Any other suggestions for quick lunches would be helpful. I think I have breakfast and dinner figured out though!
