well, it isn't going to add bulk, if that is what you mean.

First off I don't think you need worry about getting "huge". That is many of our actual goals, and it doesn't happen no matter how hard you try. If it was that easy, you would see many more "huge" guys running around. It is very difficult to do, and takes many years of training intensely to gain a few pounds of muscle. So, put those fears to rest. As far as defined, do you have any muscle now? I mean by this you have to have some muscle to define it! If you are pretty thin, you may want to think about adding some mass first. I wouldn't try yet to get abs if you do not have good muscle elsewhere, because just the calorie deficit needed to show abs will shut down any possiblity of any other muscle gain. A couple things to think about.

Yes, ambition and willpower. Base your day around your training if you can. Make a priority in your life, work is a necessity for financial survival, the gym is a necessity for health and wellnes, and fitness survival. The choice is yours. Don't go directly back "home". Have a pair of sweats in the car at all times, and go directly to the gym. Once you get settled on that couch, it can be pretty much over.

I also did not mean you have to bulk up, I was merely suggesting that depending on how your muscle size was now, if you go to definition, you are most likely as big as you are going to be musclewise, because it is tough to gain anything on an "ab" diet. I have seen many who the media has them in search of the holy grail "abs", but they have no muscle anywhere else, and they end up looking funny, skinny with toothpick arms and maybe a little abs! You would be much better off getting proportional if you know what I mean.
