I know bb1fit is not a huge fan of mixing creatine with juices or drinks that have sugar...but I'm not too worried about the increased fat storage from the spiked insulin just yet. From what I understand, spiking your insulin levels increases the uptake and retention of the creatine in your muscles. I was planning on mixing my creatine with gatorade, the only thing I'm worried about is the "contains citric acid" in the ingredients. I remember reading that you shouldn't mix creatine with orange juice because the acid breaks it down faster into creatinine. Will it be ok mixing with gatorade?

Use the grape or fruit punch or something. I used to mix my creatine/protein right in a gatorade bottle and chug it down right after training. As mentioned, without fat being an issue, this is fine. You know the gatorade people actually did research,(really), they didn't just throw gatorade out there. It was intended to replace electrolytes and help restore glycogen levels quickly. It will give a mild blood sugar increase, thus insulin response, and this may be much better than the huge "pure sugar" type increase.

While there are a lot of people that don not agree with this because of the fat storage myth, I have been using a glucose product that I mix my protein and creatine which Idrink right before and after my workout. Guess what? No fat storage, and in fact I am leaner now than I have been before. When you utilize this method, you simply need to monitor your calories throughout the rest of the day. My 2 meals after my workouts are liquid, high protein and consist of high glycemic carbs. Then the rest of my meals after that come from complex carb sources like oatmeal and A LOT of veggies. I am sure that bb1fit knows this method as the bracketing method from AST.

Ahhh...the bracketing method by AST....yes, I know it well. I still have a jug of their Creatine HSC here. It is a good thing, the blood sugar rise/glycogen restoring of course, my only beef is people need to understand that if they have fat loss issues, this may not be a viable option for them. Fat loss as a major goal will never include sugar in the diet in any way, even immediately post training. Fat burning is what you are trying to achieve here, and a fat loss diet and training of any kind will not include blood sugar/insulin surges. You need to let the body feed on itself(fattty acids) for max fat burn.

Hey, thanks for answering. I just ordered some of the AST creatine HSC, I hope its good. I've been using cell tech, good stuff but way to sweet (75g of sugar)!

I hope you ordered the Lemon Squeeze, sure tastes good if nothing else. I know for a fact it raises blood sugar considerably, my wife is a diabetic, so I have access to blood sugar testing. I used to do it all the time to see the rise(experimentation). Good luck to you, try mixing your protein directly with it. Their VP2 is an excellent choice post workout.
