I'm currently doing my lunges and squats using the Smith machine. For squats I'm using 25kg and lunges 15kg with 3 x 8 supersets. I've been using these weights for 6 weeks now and was wondering where I should be heading??
Are you finding that doing these sets aren't giving you "the burn" or making you feel challenged? If so, by all means, give yourself something to work towards - increase the weights if you need to. Make yourself work hard! It feels great when you challenge yourself and succeed!

I used to be scared to go heavy with legs thinking that my already big thighs would get even chunkier! Not so. I'm 135lbs, and squat 100kgs for a couple reps! But mostly I stick to up to 60kgs for about 8 reps. I like to really tire my legs. After doing this for the past 9 months, my legs look leaner, and stronger and my hamstrings have really come out.
