DO I need a Protein Shake?

I am 5-08, 165lb trying to keep the same weight, yet toned and muscled. Do I need any supplement or shake or
Could I get away without any?

Good question! You could get "away" with it in your case very easily. As long as you are able to gnaw your way through enough lean protein to meet your requirements, then you don't need a supplement. But, a nice chocolate shake sure is a nice switch. Chicken breast and eggs can only be made so many ways! LOL.....

coolnick - you didn't fill out your profile - which makes it hard to give you any advice. Are you doing weights? Cardio? How much? General rule of thumb is: The more muscles you rip, the more protein you will need to repair those muscles. Hope this helps

If you don't otherwise get enough protein in your diet. I think you should get about 1g per pound of body weight. I would aim for about 150g+ of protein a day. Protein shakes are just a quick and easy (and sometimes tasty) way to get the amount of protein you need.
