Hi
I was wondering, If I wanted to tone muscle, i.e. not make it much bigger but define it, is it a good idea to pick up a light weight and do lots of reps. I want to mainly form my arms and chest. I currently do 3 sets of 14kg on each arm to build it up but to form it, is it a good idea to use say 10kg and do 20 x 3 sets? Also I have a broad chest but how can i get my pecs to show without making them bigger? I use mainly the cable cross! Do I need to use a lower weight and more reps?

Thanks for your help guys :)

Lifting lighter weights will not tone your muscles, more likely lose it. If you want tone, then you have to reduce your bf%. Keep your weights heavy enough, and don't worry about getting huge, because most people will not achieve this without outside help. That is probably one of the biggest misconceptions about weight training.
