I know it is fairly common to feel liek you are going to vomit after a hard work-out, but i was wondering what it is that actually causes this feeling? I know some people actually do vomit, but I've never actually done so. Just after a really hard work out all my muscles will be shaking and my stomach feels queasy.

i know what you are talking about, its kinda like you feel dehydrated, just calm yourself down a bit and drink...you need all the fluids you can get after and during a workout...

I've come close to vomiting on a few occassions, mostly after a heavy leg session. Its quite normal after an intense workout. If I drink something like Gatorade (made from powder, not pre-mixed in a bottle) I feel better sooner because of the carbs. Not everyone wants to do that because of the sugar, but it works for me.

I've been sick after a tough HIIT. It's the tummy who's acting like a washing machine and you feel just sooooo ill!! It never lasts too long and you need to drink and calm down slowly.
I also often feel dizzy when I'm doing squats (or lunges). The brain is missing oxygen (and blood!) but don't you worry it's not for very long.... (o;

I have this when I do the machine donkey kicks. The pressure of the pad you lay your stomach on when I kick up makes me feel like I'm going to vomit.
I feel dizzy during almost my entire work out. I never thought about lack of oxygen. :) I just figured it was the adrenaline kicking in.
