I need some ideas for sandwiches, so I want to know what everybody's favorite sandwiches are. Any special concoctions that you can share with the group?

I've been making a sammich that I think is pretty good.

I brush some extra virgin olive oil onto rye bread and grill the bread. I add the Star Kist hickory smoked tuna from the pouches and a slice of fat free cheese. Once it's all hot and gooey, I take it out and cut it in half like you would grilled cheese. Then I dip it in dijon mustard.

I also like to make one that is basically a grilled cheese but use two slices fat free cheese and put tomato slices in the middle. :) I guess you could add bacon too if you aren't worried about the fat.

You may be able to use regular cheese as well. :) I just use the fat free because I prefer my fat to come from the olive oil & nuts that I eat during the day.

Turkey w/Havarti on whoel grain wheat bread makes a wonderful sandwich. If condiments is a must, use fat free mayonnaise and dijon mustard. YUMMY!!

What kind of turkey does everybody buy? There's this spicey stuff I get from the deli that I really like. I can't remember the name of it right now...

I discovered the wonders of fresh mozzarella while in Europe last year. Y'all oughta try it. They had buffalo mozzarella there (as in from buffalo milk) that was fantastic. I have yet to find anything similar here.

I was about to post this one anyways... I just put some sliced ham and fresh spinach leaves onto some 12 grain bread and lightly toasted it. It was SOOOOOO GOOD! =)

I usually eat PB&J myslef, because it is very easy and I always have the ingredients at home. But my favorite sandwich is from Subway, a turkey on whole wheat, cheese, all the veggies, oil, vinegar, salt & pepper.

A double 1/4 pounder with cheese, extra pickle onion and catsup please, now on the serouis side, oatmeal bread, with sliced turkey from the deli and mustard. Sometimes it is even better to spray some pam on the griddle and brown the bread a little.

I used to work at a restaurant that served a sandwich called the tripeny melt. It's just two white pieces of bread, filled with artichoke hearts, fake krab meat, and american cheese. For our purposes, the cheese could be fat free. very tasty
