Hi there,
I hope someone can advise me.
I am 80 kg - 160 lbs and am looking to loose
20 kg - 120 lbs.
I read that to loose about 1 lb per week I should eat about 1900 kcal/day, instead of 2400 kcal, that I would need to keep my current weight.
Not trying to fall into the jo-jo effect (piling on pounds after going back to slightly increased calories again), I wondered though whether eating less than 1900 kcal, say 1500 kcal, would be fine or even better to loose weight WITHOUT the jo-jo effect.
I am slightly confused as the entire calculation is based on the current weight, which I want to change, hence I am worried I keep eating too many kcal for the 'thinner weight' I am aiming for.....
Hope you get what I mean.
